LTC (NS) Mohamed Ismail is the CEO of Singapore’s largest real estate
company, PropNex Realty Pte Ltd, with over 6,000 Associates under his
stewardship. PropNex not only serves the local market but also has a growing
global clientele that includes markets in Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Australia
and India.

Ismail gave up his comfortable career as a pensionable Officer of the
Singapore Armed Forces to pursue his passion and desire to strike out on his own as an entrepreneur. He started his business venture using his savings and never looked back since.

A firm believer of training and life-long learning, Ismail has institutionalised a complete series of learning programs that includes developmental seminars, workshops, consultancy services and legal support for all his property consultants so that they can stay ahead of competition and deliver the maximum value to their customers.

Under his stewardship, PropNex property consultants won more than 70% of the Awards in the Institute of Estate Agents Awards for 2003. Ismail himself was the runner-up for the 2002 Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SMCCI) Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2004, he clinched both the Entrepreneur of the Year Award and a Spirit of Enterprise Award.

Ismail views an entrepreneur as one with the ability to add value to something that will benefit others and create a win-win situation for parties involved. Ismail believes that a true entrepreneur is actions-oriented, focused and must possess the acumen to carry out their desires and dreams with good interpersonal skills.

Ismail holds a Bachelor in Land Economics (with Honours) from the University of Technology Sydney. He owned his first property at the age of 22 and made his first million at 28. He is an investor, entrepreneur and a success coach to many Million-Dollar Club Producers in the Real Estate arena. He is also a strong believer of "Make Money Work For You".

He wrote a motivational book, “You Can Fly”, which was officially launched on 20 July 2005 with His Excellency Mr S R Nathan, President of the Republic of Singapore coming in as both his foreword writer and special Guest of Honour for the launch. In 2006, Ismail’s success story was featured in Channel News Asia’s programme “The Million Makers”.

In 2008, Ismail was one of only 10 entrepreneurs featured in the “Spirit of Enterprise” which honours the winning efforts of entrepreneurs. He was also in the book “Asia’s TOP Investments & Franchise To Make Your First Million”, a publication that featured the inspirational stories behind 21 highly successful entrepreneurs.

LTC (NS) Ismail continually believes in National Defence and actively contributes his time and efforts to National Defence. He currently holds the appointment of his Brigade’s Second-in-Command. He was conferred the highly coveted NS Men of the Year award in 2004 and won the National Day Military Commendation medal in 2007.

Ismail has spoken about property investments to various organisations, both locally and abroad. His views and insights on the property scene are much sought after by the local media, including: Channel News Asia, National Financial Planning and Investment Seminar, TCS Property Watch programme, Singapore Business Magazine, The Business Times, Berita Harian and the Chinese Daily.
