In 1996, Alan started his company, Prulink Realty Pte Ltd, with his partner, Joseph Lee, which merged with PropNex in 2000. He has been part of PropNex ever since.

Alan subscribes to a “no pain, no gain” mentality and is willing to take on any venture he deems profitable, with a gung-ho spirit. His entrepreneur’s drive to succeed drew him to market almost anything imaginable – from flowers to cars, insurance and houses. Being blessed with uncommon acumen in property investment, he finally made his mark in the real estate industry.

Aside from being a sales-driven individual, Alan also possesses managerial skills, and is apt at recognising talents and bring out the best in people. When stuck in a rut, he is able to think out of the biz to solve problems with unconventional means.

This creativity led Alan and his business partners, Joseph and Ismail, to devise a ground breaking commission scheme under the Dual Career Path, which became an industry standard for others to follow. Recognizing that every associate does not want to remain an associate forever, the new scheme accorded team leaders a share of the company’s profits when they met certain levels of achievement. In this way, talent-retention was ensured.

His current appointment entails overseeing the Group’s investments. He is also a key player in formulating corporate strategies and charting new directions for PNC.
