In March 2015, developers sold 613 private homes, a 60 per cent increase from the 382 units taken up in the previous month. Also, 400 units were launched for sale last month, representing a 12 per cent increase from February (excluding ECs).
The combination of more new units launched for sale and reasonable prices in the increasingly price sensitive market; together drew bargain-hunting homebuyers back to show flats. March’s sales also indicated that underlying demand is still present if prices are attractive — despite the current weak buying sentiment.
