As a salesperson in this everchanging industry, how do you position yourself differently, to get your clients today.
I always give 200% to each client I work with, nowadays they are mostly repeat clients and lots of referrals. I even have clients who left Singapore many years ago but whenever they know of someone coming to live here, they will connect their friends to me via email to introduce us. I make it a point to match my clients as much as possible their dream home with the best option available in the market. I never try to push them to other developments.
In this modern-age how do you stand out in the real estate industry?
In every industry the key to success is a solid brand, one that is always associated to earn and retain the trust of customers, partners, suppliers, shareholders, employees and associates. Building a solid brand takes discipline, time management and mastery of skills. Where I stand today was built through many years of carefully building my skills, knowledge and reputation. Regardless, whether I win the deal or not, every activity is a step towards building that brand. Although today there are many channels to announce your brand, nothing beats the word of mouth conveyed by all the people you deal with in this industry.
Congratulations on your triple Champion win, you are also one of our 21 Millionaires for 2019! Describe to us what drives you to be so successful today?
The building of my legacy and passion for real estate constantly drives me to be the best version of myself. I always believe that having passion in what you do will catapult you to success. I love my job as a realtor as I always get to meet clients, especially those who appreciate my value and service provided to them. I also love seeing statistics and figures, knowing that my analysis of the market trend would benefit my clients. Seeing their smiles at the end of day makes my job a lot more meaningful. Separately, meeting my agents to mentor and coach brings a different dynamism to my job. It moulds my character, builds my confidence as I become even more all-rounded in the business. Most importantly, having the most understanding wife in the world is the main driving force for my success. She understands what I truly love to do and supports it every day. A life partner who shares your dream definitely makes a difference!
How do you feel clinching the title Champion Associate Advisory Branch District Director for 2019?
I am very excited, grateful and thrilled because each year we need to work harder to ensure our salespersons stay ahead of the competition. To become the champion team for two consecutive years is really something that I am very grateful for as it is a reflection of the hard work our salespersons, leaders and managers have put in. Being the only team that has 5 millionaire achievers in 2019, we strive to create even more breakthroughs for the team in year 2020 by allowing everyone to learn from one another.
How do you feel being the OVERALL CHAMPION LANDED PROPERTY TRANSACTOR for 2019?
I am truly happy to be recognised as a two-time Champion Landed Transactor in PropNex as this was my goal during the start of 2019. I focus mainly on this niche segment, and I want to continue doing well to add value to all my clients and co-broke partners.
How do you feel being the OVERALL CHAMPION ASSOCIATE GROUP DIVISION DIRECTOR for 2019?
I am elated with 2019 results for #EricYeoDivision as we work really hard together hand in hand to achieve this No. 1 award! With the youngest associate at the age of 21 and the most experienced at age of 56, the entire division is able to learn from one another, based on a new marketing angle from the younger generation and real life experience from the elder generation, this enables us to avoid any pitfalls in the real estate journey. With constant activities/outings for the division, we managed to blend everyone together to share their experiences and learn from one another, in order to excel to greater heights and achieve more than 436 transactions team sale in 2019!
