HDB’s latest launch of Dew Spring @ Yishun, consisting of 864 units across seven blocks, is viewed by leading real estate agency PropNex as a timely move.

 

Boasting a modern and contemporary design, 43% of the flats offered are of the 2- and 3-room variety, with prices of $76–90k for the 2-room units and $120–146k for the 3-room units. There are also 4-room units available from $197–238k.

 

“These HDB flats are priced very attractively,” observes Mohamed Ismail, PropNex CEO. “The smaller units are actually going at below $200psf, which is very much below the median resale prices for that area in the last quarter.”

 

It is his opinion that HDB’s launch of the smaller units was timely amidst the current economic uncertainty.

 

“HDB’s efforts to reach out to the lower-income bracket with more affordable units is certainly commendable,” Mohamed Ismail adds.

 

As the units are situated not far from the golf course and a reservoir, Mohamed Ismail expects an oversubscription for these units of about four times.
