Limited new launches during the school holiday period weighed on developers’ sales in June. A total of 272 new private homes (ex. executive condominiums) were sold during the month, marking a 12.8% decline from the 312 units moved in May last month. Sales momentum in the shophouse sector remained muted during the second quarter of 2025. Based on caveats lodged, Q2 2025 saw fewer than 20 shophouse deals worth $127 million being transacted. Shophouse rentals across the island expanded during the quarter with brisk tourist arrivals and spending, the overall median rental of shophouses inched upwards to $6.68 psf per month in Q2 2025.
